The Setting

From the very beginning, choosing a venue for Hope Rises was never about finding
the most convenient location…it was about finding a place that felt meaningful.
Schnepf Farms was one of Axel's most favorite places in the whole wide world.
We spent countless holidays there creating memories
that have become some of our most treasured.

After he died, it was one of the hardest places to first return
because it was where we felt his absence so deeply.
And yet it is now one of the places where we feel his presence so strongly.
When I discovered the Big Red Barn and walked through its doors
for the first time, something shifted.
The warmth of the space. The character of the building. It felt like Axel.

This isn't simply where the event is being held.
It's where I knew Hope Rises was meant to begin.
Because every detail of this night has been thoughtfully chosen
to honor him and the mission his legacy continues to inspire.
